We can all agree that some of the greatest wines still come from Europe – the best Burgundy, white and red, Bordeaux, German whites, Rhône whites and reds , Brunellos, Barolos and Riojas, surpass all but the Cabernets from Napa Valley. But most of the sought after wines are too expensive as compared to wines made in USA. Australia has been producing some of the best Sirahs and New Zealand the Pinot Noirs and Sauvignon Blancs and Some of the best Malbecs come from Central American Countries.
But, America’s great virtue in wine has always been consistency, but rarely brilliance, while European wines’ strength lies in their individuality and their personality.
